Transportation fees support operation and maintenance of student transportation services on campus, and/or between the campus and the surrounding community. Services may take the form of agreements with existing public transportation providers -- such as the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) -- or the operation and maintenance of a campus-controlled system.
Buffalo State's transporation fee supports the NFTA's College Riders Accessing Metro program, which provides Buffalo State undergraduate students with unlimited access to the NFTA Metro Bus and Rail System, including the #206 campus circulator.
SUNY's policy on fees, rentals and other charges authorizes use of the transportation fee. The Buffalo State parking and transportation committee provides consultation in the fee decision-making process.
