Overview of the Chancellor's Award Process
The Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Classified Service is a prestigious award given at the SUNY system level. It aims to acknowledge and appreciate the outstanding contributions of classified service employees in providing excellent service to students and the community. It is a way to recognize their dedication and commitment to their roles.
Members of the Buffalo State community are strongly encouraged to participate in this award program by nominating deserving colleagues. The nomination process allows individuals to highlight the exceptional achievements and skills of their colleagues, as well as their remarkable contributions beyond the expectations of their job responsibilities.
Nominees for this award should be individuals who consistently demonstrate exceptional performance and proficiency in their work. Additionally, they should also exhibit excellence in activities that go beyond the scope of their official job descriptions. These activities may include involvement in community service, participation in professional development initiatives, or leadership roles outside their regular duties.
By recognizing and honoring these outstanding individuals, the Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Classified Service not only celebrates their accomplishments but also motivates others to strive for excellence in their own roles. It serves as an inspiration to the entire Buffalo State community to go above and beyond in delivering exceptional service to students and the wider community.
